Healthy Summer Fun!

Being healthy doesn’t have to come down to counting calories and hitting the gym! Here are just a few ideas on how to stay healthy while having fun this summer.

PARK IT:

We're not talking about your rear on the couch, we're talking about your vehicle. Lace up those sneaks, air up those bike tires, and use what your mama gave you to get you where you need to go. Not only will you soak up a couple rays, but you'll keep yourself moving and your heart pumping. 

DRINK UP:

While adult beverages might be tasty, we're referring to water! Between the heat and summer sun, it's easier than ever to become dehydrated. Your cells are comprised of approximately 70% water, so bottoms up!

GET YOUR SNACK ON:

Eating between meals keeps your blood sugar levels stable and prevents the dreaded mood swings. Some of the easiest snacks to grab on the go are fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Not only are they easy to carry with you, but they're packed with vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. 

EXPLORE:

One of the best ways to get your workout in is to go check out all that nature has to offer. Take a swim, hike to the nearest waterfalls, bike the trails or just take a walk downtown. No matter the destination you're sure to enjoy the trip and help your body stay healthy along the way.
