Whether we like it or not, it's that time of year again; The snow has started falling! While it may be pretty in the beginning, the work will soon begin. It's time to dig out those shovels and start working. Whether we are shoveling our whole driveway, or just a path to the door way, our backs are put to the test as we lift that heavy snow.
Your feet, the foundation of your body. They bear all of your weight and carry you through each day. A quarter of the bones in your body and over 30 joints are found in your feet! They are one of the most important parts of your structural system. When the bones in your feet are misaligned or causing you pain, your whole body suffers. Just one small misalignment can translate to knee, hip and even back pain. You see it's all connected and when one portion fails the others must compensate. This can lead to joint irritation in areas far from your feet.
It's that time of year again. The time of year where sniffles, snot, and sneezes are all too prominent. Fall time is known as flu time. While the temperature is dropping, fevers are spiking. There are many ways you can help your body fight off the bacteria and viruses associated with not only the fall flu but illness' all year long.
Being born is tough work, there are a lot of pressures and forces being exerted onto your baby during their journey into the world. A current study demonstrated that 90% of newborns suffered misalignments and associated strain through the neck and cranial areas following birth. Left uncorrected, these misalignments continue to impact the baby's spinal growth and development, reducing the healthy function of their nervous system.
Chiropractors are known as back Doctors; Someone you go see for back pain or neck pain. While in fact, we are not back Doctors at all! Our specialty is the nervous system. "Everything we experience is processed through our nervous system. If our nervous system is not functioning to its optimal level, our perception of the world is distorted and our ability to respond appropriately is compromised. This not only affects our physical health, but also our emotional and psychological function as well." - Dr. Christopher Kent
